Happy Hour Reflections of the Chemistry Brewing Course at Stetson University with Tandy Grubbs
2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the inaugural chemistry of brewing course, offered by Tandy Grubbs, a member of Stetson’s Department of Chemistry since 1995. The official course title has evolved over the years, from an independent study course called Applications of Glycolysis for the first 10 years, to CHEM 323 - Brewing Science & Technology for the most recent iterations. But the lucky alumni who enrolled mostly likely remembers the experience simply as The Brew Course. Please join Tandy Grubbs, Sue Ryan (Dean of the duPont-Ball Library, who co-taught the course for several years), and a few of our notable brew chemistry alumni who have been invited to take part in this event, as we reflect back on our brewing escapades. And, of course, since it will be a happy hour, you are encouraged to bring your own beverage.
