Stetson University HATS Program

Stetson University's High Achieving Talented Students Program (HATS) provides year-round academic enrichment courses to academically talented and gifted students in grades K-12.

The HATS Program offers Saturday and summer classes that encourage students to explore their academic areas of interest in a collegiate setting.

Eligibility for Participation

Students in grades K-12 who have achieved scores at or above the 95th percentile on a nationally normed, standardized assessment are invited to participate in the HATS Program.

Students in grades 4-9 who are members of the Belin-Blank Exceptional Student Talent Search (BESTS) are also invited to attend.

Stetson University works with various school districts to identify eligible students. If you believe that you or someone you know is eligible to participate but has not been notified by Stetson University or by the Belin-Blank Center, please contact us by emailing We encourage all eligible students, including homeschooled students and students attending private schools, to participate in HATS.
