It's easy and fun to visit Stetson University! We provide information sessions and campus tours Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and on designated Saturdays at 10 a.m. during the academic year.

Open House

Experience Stetson first-hand at an Open House. Meet faculty, staff and current students while learning about what life is like as a Hatter. Our Open House will allow you to learn more about our admissions process, the vibrancy of Stetson's campus, global opportunities and much more. You'll even sit in on a mock class with Stetson faculty!

Shadow Stetson Days

Be a Hatter for a day! Open to high school seniors and transfer students, Shadow Stetson Days are offered Monday through Thursday. You will be able to shadow classes in your intended school or college, have lunch with current students, meet with a professor, take a guided campus tour and end the day with your admissions recruiter. Students can also sign up for overnight visits Monday or Tuesday evening to stay in the residential halls with a current student, with classes the following day.

Shadow Stetson Visits are for high school seniors and transfer students only. Parents and family are invited to participate in the campus tour and meeting with an admissions recruiter. We also encourage you to explore Historic Downtown DeLand.

Reservations must be made at least two weeks before your intended visit date.

Daily Tours

The Office of Admissions offers information sessions followed by campus tours Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and on designated Saturdays at 10 a.m. during the year. In our 30-minute information session, you will learn about the application process and student financial planning; followed by a 90-minute walking campus tour through our academic buildings, first-year residential hall option, student union space and library.

Please allow at least two hours for your visit on campus.

Stetson "Hi-Notes" Visits

"Hi-Notes" visits provide a shadow experience for prospective music students with an in-depth look at Stetson University and the School of Music. You'll be able to follow another student to classes, participate in ensembles, have lunch with current students and meet with a professor in your talent area if desired. Reservations must be made at least two weeks before your intended visit date.

  • Tuesday- voice, brass, woodwind
  • Wednesday- voice, brass, woodwind, string
  • Thursday- voice, brass, woodwind, string

Audition to be a member of the School of Music at Stetson University at one of our audition dates listed. We additionally encourage you to take a closer look into our music program through a "Hi Notes" music visit.

Group Visits

Group tours are offered by appointment for high school students only. Group tour appointments must be made a minimum of one month in advance, and are not offered on weekends or during peak periods.

Hatter Saturday for Accepted Students

Hatter Saturday is an event just for accepted students! It's a day full of fun and learning for both parents and students, and the perfect opportunity for students to connect to their future home. Join us on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

Travel Scholarship for Out-of-State Students

Visiting from out-of-state? Out-of-state students who are accepted and attend an official admissions visit on or before Hatter Saturday, April 18, 2020, can receive a one-time $1,000 travel scholarship awarded as a part of their financial aid package at Stetson. Any athlete in an equivalency sport with a signed Grant in Aid is not eligible to receive this scholarship.

Explore Historic Downtown DeLand

Founded in 1876, DeLand has been nicknamed the Athens of Florida, a cultural center with six museums and the historic Athens Theater.
