Dublin, Ireland Exchange - Program Policies

Tuition Payment Policy

It is your responsibility to ensure that all educational expenses are paid during the semester or session in which they are incurred. If financial aid does not cover all of your expenses, you must either pay the balance in full or arrange for payment. Please contact Stetson University College of Law's Business Office at 727-562-7805.

Payment of current semester charges or payment arrangements must be made by 5:00 p.m. on the first day of classes.

If the account remains unpaid, the University reserves the right to suspend or withdraw you from classes; withhold grades, transcripts, and diplomas; and, deny you future enrollment.

Refund Policy

As this is an exchange program, tuition and fees are paid to Stetson University College of Law for outbound students.  Refunds for the exchange programs follow Stetson's refund policy.

Financial Aid (for Stetson Students)

Federal financial aid is available for those who qualify. Students interested in receiving federal financial aid for study abroad programs should contact the Office of Admissions and Student Financial Planning at 727-562-7802.

Stetson University College of Law Honor Code

Each student participating in an exchange program is held to the high standards of conduct demanded by the Stetson University College of Law. Students are required to conduct themselves with the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness while representing the College of Law in programs abroad. Each student is required to read the Conduct and Honor Code. All participating students agree to be bound by all policies of Stetson University College of Law.

Health and Medical Insurance

Stetson requires all students participating in study abroad programs to obtain health insurance coverage for travel outside the U.S. Stetson has secured an insurance plan with CHUBB/Ace American Insurance. A charge of $275 for the academic semester will be charged to each student's account participating in this program.

In order to obtain your student visa for Ireland, you are required to have private medical insurance coverage. The CHUBB/Ace American Insurance coverage required by Stetson above will satisfy this requirement for your visa. Please see the Private Medical Insurance document for further information.
