The Nina B. Hollis Institute warmly invites you to our Summer Symposium,
"From Surviving to Thriving: Leadership Strategies for Trauma-Responsive Education"

Designed with school leaders in mind, this symposium will focus on the critical role principals play in shaping trauma-responsive school cultures that support both student success and educator well-being. As instructional and organizational leaders, principals are uniquely positioned to move schools beyond crisis management toward resilience, stability, and growth.

Participants will explore:

  • How trauma impacts student behavior, learning, and staff morale
  • Leadership practices that promote psychological safety, trust, and belonging
  • Strategies for supporting teachers while preventing burnout and compassion fatigue
  • System-level approaches to creating trauma-responsive schools and sustaining change

The symposium offers a collaborative space to reflect on leadership practice, gain practical tools, and connect with fellow principals navigating similar challenges.
