Joanna “JJ” Payette is an attorney and the chief marketing officer of Orange Blossom Law, PLLC in Winter Park, Florida. Payette’s practice areas are guardianship, probate, and estate planning law. A graduate of Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, Payette fell in love with jurisprudence after a 13-year career as the Assistant Softball Coach at Stetson University.

As the Assistant Softball Coach at Stetson University, Payette coached the 2007 and 2014 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Champion Hatters, yielding two NCAA tournament appearances. A graduate of Stetson University’s College of Arts and Sciences, Payette majored in Integrative Health Science with minors in Education and Sport Management. Payette was a four-year student-athlete, a two-year team captain, and a proud member of the 2006 Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season Champions.

Additionally, Payette holds a Master of Science in Education in Sport Administration from the University of Miami and a Certificate in Professional Fundraising from Boston University.

Payette is a member of Phi Alpha Delta International Law fraternity and is a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) and takes great pride in representing OCBA’s Legal-Aid and indigent clients in guardianship matters. Payette’s passion for guardianship law and advocacy took root in the Healthcare Ethics course she took junior year at Stetson University.

Payette is President of the Stetson University Alumni Association and an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees.
