Niki Gross is VP of Hospitality Asset Management at Convexity Properties, the real estate development division of DRW, where she oversees a portfolio of hospitality properties across the United States, from coast to coast. She began her career at DRW Trading in Chicago in 2010 and has remained part of the DRW ecosystem since, moving early on into Convexity.

Gross earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Stetson University in 2008, studying under Dr. Michael Rickman, and returned to complete her MBA in 2009. Her true passion at Stetson was collaborative piano - she spent her years accompanying the Choral Union, Concert Choir, Stetson Chorale, and Lab Choir, under both student conductors and the direction of Dr. Andrew Larson and Dr. Duncan Couch. Immersed in the School of Music’s vocal ecosystem, she considers those years spent collaborating with the program’s singers among the most rewarding of her career. She also enjoyed working alongside instrumentalists, performing from time to time as pianist with the Barron String Quartet. Her collaborative work extended beyond DeLand as well, with summer appointments as a pianist at the Schlern International Music Festival (now the Orfeo Music Festival) and the Asolo Song Festival in Italy, as well as the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina.

It was in the School of Music that she met her husband, Eli. Their careers have since taken them from Chicago to Reno to Austin, before bringing them back home to Florida, where they now reside in St. Augustine with their two children, ages 9 and 3. As passionate patrons and practitioners of the performing arts, they weave music and the arts into everyday family life, sharing their passion with their children.

Gross has served on the School of Music Board of Advisors for seven years and was recently appointed Chair for the current term, a role in which she serves as an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees.
