Mason Clark

Biography

With an extensive background in privacy and security, Visiting Assistant Professor Mason Clark worked as a Global Deputy Privacy Officer for an international life sciences and pharmaceutical corporation based in Chicago. There, he developed and implemented a global privacy program for the industry-leading company and led other privacy-related initiatives.

As an associate attorney at Chicago-based Baker & McKenzie LLP, Professor Clark served as data-breach counsel for international corporations through the incident-response cycle, advised multinational corporations on privacy compliance, and created and implemented enterprise privacy and cybersecurity compliance programs. He also served as an associate attorney for litigation and data security and privacy for Indianapolis-based Ice Miller LLP.

Professor Clark founded and chaired the Indiana State Bar Association’s Data Security & Privacy Section, where he developed CLE curriculum and presentations for attorneys and other professionals.

A cum laude graduate of Indiana State University’s Maurer School of Law, Professor Clark has written and presented extensively on the subjects of privacy and cybersecurity.
