Stetson Lawyers Alumni Association Annual Awards

Each year, the Stetson Lawyers Alumni Association (SLAA) recognizes individuals dedicated to the legal profession, the community, and the College of Law. This annual event aims to honor alumni and others who have distinguished themselves in their work and service.

The honors include: the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Ben Willard Award, the Paul May Meritorious Service Award, the Outstanding Alumni Representative Award, and the Distinguished Service Award. This year, we are introducing Beyond the Brim Outstanding Alumni Award, which will rezognize young alumni.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award honors alumni who excel in their chosen profession and in their service to humanity.

Ben Willard Award

The Ben Willard Award recognizes an individual whose work has benefited society at large. 

Paul May Meritorious Service Award

Named for an alumnus who helped grow SLAA into the substantial network it is today, the Paul May Meritorious Service Award honors an individual who has been generous and consistent with their time and resources in support of the Stetson Law community.

Outstanding Alumni Representative Award

An award recognizing alumni who excelled in their efforts to help the Stetson Law community remain active and robust. 

Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service award honors a non-alum who has gone above and beyond in enriching the Stetson Law community, the legal profession, and society overall.

Beyond the Brim Outstanding Alumni Award

This award honors young alumni who have demonstrated professional achievement, active volunteer and philanthropic support of the College, and leadership in their community.
