Professional Responsibility
Nino C. Monea graduated from Eastern Michigan University and Harvard Law School. After graduation, he clerked for Justice Bridget Mary McCormack on the Michigan Supreme Court and then commissioned in the United States Army, Judge Advocate General Corps. There, he served as a legal assistance attorney, Special Assistant United States Attorney, and military prosecutor. In 2022, he deployed with a Special Operations Command task force, advising on counterterrorism and diplomatic operations throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. He previously taught at the United States Military Academy (West Point) in the Department of Law.
Professor Monea currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserves as a trial defense attorney. He writes on the topics of criminal law, disciplinary systems, military law, and constitutional law.
