Cayman Islands Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy
Cancellation Policy
Stetson University College of Law reserves the right to cancel any program prior to May 1 due to insufficient enrollment or for any other reason deemed necessary. In such cases, registered participants will receive a full refund of all program fees within thirty days of program cancellation. When possible, Stetson Law will offer students the opportunity to transfer to a comparable program conducted by Stetson Law.
Stetson Law also reserves the right to cancel or shorten a program at any time due to extraordinary circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, or other events constituting force majeure. In such circumstances, registered participants will receive a pro-rated refund corresponding to the portion of tuition and accommodation costs not utilized.
If a U.S. Department of State Travel Warning or Alert is issued for the host country prior to or during the program, all registered participants will be notified promptly and given the opportunity to withdraw from the program.
Withdrawal Policy
A non-refundable deposit of $350 is required with each application. Applications are not considered complete until the deposit has been received. Upon receipt of the deposit, Stetson University College of Law promptly begins making accommodations and coordinating other program-related arrangements. Please be advised that the entire deposit amount of $350 is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
Unless a student is explicitly notified of their inadmissibility to a program, the receipt of the deposit signifies that the application is considered active and in progress. It is the responsibility of the applicant to regularly monitor and respond to all communications from the Stetson Law Office of International & Graduate Programs.
If a student intends to withdraw from a program, they must submit a formal written request to [email protected] and include a detailed explanation and any relevant supporting documentation. All withdrawal requests are subject to a formal petition process and review that may result in approval or denial. The $350 deposit remains non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the withdrawal petition.
Please note that withdrawal from the program—whether voluntary or as a result of non-responsiveness or failure to meet program requirements—may result in the student being held financially responsible for all program costs, including but not limited to tuition, housing, transportation, and program-related activities, as applicable.
