Andrew Milne is a Bruce R. Jacob Visiting Assistant Professor of Law for 2025-2027. In his academic teaching and scholarly writing, Professor Milne draws from eleven years of practice in poverty law and disability rights. After graduating from New York University School of Law in 2012, he joined Texas RioGrande Legal Aid as a staff attorney, where he handled a wide variety of civil and criminal matters in rural counties. At Disability Rights Center – New Hampshire, he conducted state-wide litigation to protect the rights of individuals in psychiatric, nursing, juvenile, and carceral systems. With Legal Services for Maine Elders, Professor Milne represented older adults in need of free legal services, leading to his scholarly focus on the role of law and aging in political economy. He has also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Suffolk University Law School in Boston and a Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Civil Practice Clinics at South Texas College of Law Houston.
