First-Generation Law Student Association

About

The First-Generation Law Association (FGLA) aims to serve Stetson University College of Law's community by providing educational and supportive networking opportunities in various fields of law for those who are the first in their family to attend college or law school. Our goal is to develop a respectful and diverse community by creating conversations about the different obstacles faced by students who are the first in their family to pursue a career in law. We look forward to hosting speaking engagements with legal professionals from various legal fields to help to educate students on the opportunities presented to them and create a support system from their peers. We also look forward to as providing hands on opportunities for students to learn how to excel not only in law school but in their legal careers.
