Stetson University in The Top 25

Stetson University makes several Top 25 rankings, including U.S. News

Now that it’s football season, one might ask, “Is Stetson University in the Top 25?”

Absolutely.

Stetson ranks No. 5 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 list of Best Regional Universities in the South. It’s also No. 11 (tie) for Best Undergraduate Teaching; No. 12 for Best for Veterans; No. 13 for Best Value Schools; and No. 24 for Best Social Mobility.

Those rankings are among a total of 137 universities in the South region category. (The tie for Best Undergraduate Teaching is with Georgia College & State University.)

As cited by U.S. News & World Report, Stetson emphasizes active learning with a low undergraduate student-teacher ratio of 13:1 — 61% of classes have fewer than 20 students, and only 0.3% of classes have 50 or more students. Also, among first-year students, 53% finished in the top-quarter of their high school graduating class.

In addition, U.S. News & World Report ranks Stetson University College of Law No. 2 in Trial Advocacy and No. 5 for Legal Writing in the United States. Stetson has been ranked as the first or second law school for Trial Advocacy 23 times in 27 years, and it has consistently ranked among the top six legal writing programs since the inception of the Legal Writing rankings in 2005.

And there’s more. Stetson also has been named as one of the top universities in The Princeton Review’s 2022 edition of The Best 387 Colleges, as  well as Money’s Best Colleges and Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges.

The Princeton Review recognized Stetson as one of the leading undergraduate institutions in the country and region (Southeast) for the seventh consecutive year. The honor is given to only about 14% of four-year colleges nationwide.

The Best 387 Colleges 2022 edition is The Princeton Review’s 30-year anniversary publication and contains detailed profiles of each college.

In its profile of Stetson, The Princeton Review praises the university for its acceptance rate and “attracting go-getters,” and “each year’s freshman class is more impressive than the last.”

Among student comments regarding academics, Stetson “allows students to work closely with Stetson professors and develop a unique relationship with some of the best professionals in the field.”

Stetson students describe Stetson as a cultural, diverse, inclusive and engaged campus with clubs and organizations and events planned for commuters.
