For the second time this season, Stetson University senior guard Brittney Chambers has been named the ASUN Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Chambers helped lead Stetson to a perfect 3-0 week by averaging 17.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.  In Wednesday’s win over Northern Kentucky, Chambers scored a career-high 27 points, going 10-for-19 from the floor and 7-for-8 from the line as the Hatters won by 11.  She then scored 11 points in just 23 minutes of action in Friday’s matinee victory over Webber International.

Sunday, Dec. 3, was perhaps her most valuable effort of the week as she scored 13 second-half points to lead Stetson to a come-from-behind road victory over SIUE. Her baseline jumper with 2:09 left gave Stetson a four-point lead. For the game, she scored 15 points and pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.

For the season, Chambers is averaging an ASUN-best 18.0 ppg.  She is shooting 44 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free throw line.  She has scored in double figures in all 10 games.

The Hatters (6-5) will break for final exams and return to action Dec. 16 vs. Western Kentucky.
