Hatter Harvest, a student-led volunteer organization at Stetson University, needs your help. The Seeds of Change Grant Program is hosting an online contest that awards over $300,000 in grants to schools and communities that are trying to make a difference.

The top four winners of the grant win $20,000, and the next top 20 winners are awarded $10,000, so each vote counts toward Stetson receiving more funds to improve the community and raise awareness about the environment.

Hatter Harvest is a student-led club with the mission to “advocate for environmental sustainability by supporting community development, promoting organic farming and educating about the benefits of a healthy and eco-conscious lifestyle.”

Winning this grant would allow Hatter Harvest to expand their capacity to grow and sell food at DeLand markets while educating people about food. The students involved in this organization would also use the grant to develop educational programs to reach Gillespie Museum visitors and patrons at the Farmers’ Markets. The students are passionate about teaching people how to grow their own gardens and be sustainable.

Voting runs through Mon., Apr. 18. Participants are allowed one vote per day. Visit Stetson’s Hatter Harvest to vote!
