Homecoming Celebrates Football Experience

HC-Football mascotsWhile Stetson has been celebrating Homecoming and helping alums create memories for quite some time, this year the Hatters will have a football game to help cap off the celebration!

For anyone who has not yet attended a Stetson football game, a normal Hatter Football game day offers plenty to get excited about. This Hatter Homecoming will help take that to another level. To start the festivities, Hatter Village, located in front of Spec Martin Field on Alabama Ave., will be opening three hours before kickoff.

Apart from the normal tents, games, music, and other assorted joyful noises, Homecoming in Hatter Village, will offer live music and a performance by the Hatter Band and Cheer Squad. As always, admission to Hatter Village is free and open containers are permitted. The Hatter Walk, which is held about two hours before kickoff at each and every home game, starts at the intersection of Euclid and Alabama avenues. Both Hatter Village and the Hatter Walk offer a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends or classmates, and take part in new traditions that display your support for the Stetson football team.

Of course the main attraction that Saturday afternoon will be the first Homecoming football game in over 50 years, with the Hatters facing the Davidson Wildcats starting at 3 p.m.

Tickets start at $30 and there are still some seats available, but they are going fast.  Don’t miss the festivities; call 386-738-HATS or visit GoHatters.com/tix to get your seats for this historic game day!
