Afternoon of Career Opportunities

Career Dev-CDAAThe Office of Career Development and Academic Advising invites you to join us as we welcome campus representatives from graduate schools, organizations and companies for the Afternoon of Career Opportunities on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the Hollis Center, Rinker Field House. The Afternoon of Career Opportunities event is a valuable way to learn more about specific business, industry, government and non-profit organizations and to network with professionals who are actively recruiting students and alumni for internship, employment, and volunteer opportunities as well as graduate school admission.

“The career fair at Stetson typically is a great event for Schwab; we are so glad every time we attend to see so many Stetson students taking charge of their career search,” said Steve Fernandez,  senior manager from Charles Schwab, a long-time partner of our office. “We are currently hiring for Relationship Specialist and operations personnel, and in the past, Stetson has provided students who are hungry to learn and eager to start their careers.”

This event is open to all Stetson students regardless of major or year in school.

Whether you are seeking full-time employment or beginning to explore your career path, this event is an opportunity for you to engage with professionals in a variety of fields to determine how your interests, skills and abilities fit with the company or organization. For some students a career fair is a new adventure, so to assist you in gaining information about the companies and organizations there will be First Year Friendly Tables staffed by recruiters prepared to discuss the company and answer questions. Recruiters enjoy talking with students and scouting talent for immediate opportunities as well as opportunities for the future, so it is never too early to attend this event and network.

In preparation for the Afternoon of Career Opportunities, please visit the Career Development and Academic Advising website for a list of participating employers and companies. We look forward to seeing you at the Afternoon of Career Opportunities on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
