Stetson University’s first fall Homecoming in nearly 50 years is less than a month away. This year’s Homecoming, Nov. 2-4, 2012, will feature many changes and plenty of opportunities to celebrate Stetson’s Hatter pride.

This year’s celebrations, which will kick off with the annual Greenfeather, the week-long philanthropy competition, will include a brand new Hatter tradition, called Feather Fest. Stetson’s Feather Fest will feature the return of the Hatter Howl Pep Rally, a free midway carnival, a firework show and a FREE comedy show by Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, stars from the hit TV show, Whose Line is it Anyway!

The Feather Fest Comedy Show is scheduled for 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, in Edmunds Center, located at 143 E. Pennsylvania Ave., on Stetson’s DeLand campus. Admission is free, but tickets are required.

For this year’s Greenfeather campaign, Stetson will be partnering with local nonprofit entities aimed at youth empowerment. Greenfeather will lead the way into Homecoming Game Day on Saturday, Nov. 3. Game Day will be held on campus at the new Athletic Training Center and will feature the Food Truck Bazaar, a PreGame Celebration, and Stetson Football’s Green and White Game. As is traditional, Greenfeather will include the team-based, popular events, including Greenfeather Olympics, Rock-A-Thon and Airwaves.
