Stetson University’s business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, is hosting Emmy Award-winning director Fabio Jafet to speak about his career and experience in the media industry on Thursday, Sept. 13.

The event will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Rinker Auditorium located in the Lynn Business Center, 345 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand, and is sponsored by Alpha Kappa Psi. Admission is free and open to the public.

Jafet is a director and editor with nearly two decades of experience. He has won nine Emmys for his work in broadcast news and the music entertainment industry. Beginning his career in broadcast news, Jafet covered the Oklahoma City bombing, the O.J. Simpson trial and other high-profile stories. He also worked on commercials and documentaries including the award-winning documentaries “Fatboy” and “Facing the Habit.”

Jafet transitioned to the entertainment industry, directing and editing music videos. He has worked with artists such as Waking Up Dead, Pitbull, Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, the Jersey Shore cast and many more.
