LUKASHENKO DISCUSSES SITUATION IN BELORUSSIA AND RUSSIA WITH PATRIARCH KIRILL

Belorussian President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday discussed with Patriarch Kirill the situation in the republic, the state of affairs in the church, and inter-confessional relations, the press service of the head of the Belorussian state reported on Saturday.
"Late yesterday evening there was a telephone conversation of the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, with Patriarch of Moscow and all-Rus Kirill. The focus of attention was the situation in Belarus and Russia," the press service reported.
At the same time, it
was noted
that the emphasis during the conversation was placed on the topic
of
inter-confessional relations. "And of course, the parties to the
conversation discussed the state of affairs in the church as a
whole," the
