Wendy Anderson, PhD

• Professor of Environmental Science and Studies Wendy Anderson, PhD, was elected to the Volusia Soil and Water Conservation District, as reported by the Daytona Beach News-Journal. The article, “Voters elect John Nelson, Wendy Anderson to Volusia Soil and Water Conservation District,” on Nov. 4 reported that Anderson won 59.4% of the 247,504 votes counted.

• Stetson students Daliany Gerena and Alex Moker were featured in South Florida CityBizList on Nov. 4 for being awarded the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarships.

• Stetson archivist Kelly Larson was featured in the West Volusia Beacon article, “Haunted History tour walks Stetson students through campus frights” on Oct. 31. Larson coordinated the second annual Haunted History walking tour to explore urban legends on campus with students and others.

• Law Professor Ciara Torres-Spelliscy was interviewed on NPR’s Marketplace Morning Report on Nov. 4 for a segment called, “Campaign spending could continue long after Election Day.”
