Stetson Moves Up to No. 4 in Rankings by U.S. News & World Report

Stetson University has moved up a notch to No. 4 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Colleges list of Best Regional Universities – South, released today. In addition, Stetson appears on four additional lists in the same category: Best for Veterans, No. 2; Best Undergraduate Teaching, No. 8 (tie); Best Value Schools, No. 15; and Most Innovative Universities, No. 16 (tie). There are 133 universities in this category and the overall ranking of No. 4 is a tie with Berry University in Georgia.

Stetson emphasizes active learning with a low undergraduate student-teacher ratio of 13:1. Sixty-two percent of classes have fewer than 20 students and only one percent of classes have 50 or more students. Fifty-six percent of first-year students finished in the top quarter of their high school graduating class.

Schools in the Regional Universities category are defined by U.S. News & World Report as offering a full range of undergraduate programs and some master’s programs but few doctoral programs. Stetson offers master’s degrees in business, education and counseling.
