A double major in Philosophy and Russian Studies, Beery graduated from Stetson in 2017 with a stellar 3.99 cumulative GPA.  He was the first and remains the only three-time ASUN Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men’s cross country.  He was also a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America® selection.

Beery’s success in the classroom mirrored his achievements on the cross country course.  The Ohio native broke the school’s 8K record three times during his career, including a final time at the 2016 ASUN Championship. He placed ninth among all individuals with a time of 25:36.92 to earn second-team all-conference honors, becoming the first Stetson male runner ever to land a spot on the all-conference team.  His ninth-place finish was at the time the highest-ever by a Hatter at the ASUN Championship.

Beery went on to set the school record for fastest 10K time at the NCAA South Region Championships in Tallahassee, Florida.  He finished his illustrious career as the Stetson record holder in the 10K, the 8K and the 5K.

Beery recently graduated from Fordham Law with a Juris Doctorate degree.
