Stetson alumnus inducted into 2019 Mid-Florida Business Hall of Fame
Stetson alumnus Patrick J. Knipe, CPA, former managing partner of the Orlando office of Coopers & Lybrand, was recently inducted into the 2019 Mid-Florida Business Hall of Fame by Junior Achievement of Central Florida.
Knipe earned his bachelor and Master of Accountancy degrees from Stetson and began his career at a local accounting firm. After a merger with the international firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), he was named managing partner of the firm’s Orlando office.
Knipe, a U.S. Army veteran, became an inaugural member of Stetson’s Accounting Hall of Fame in 2016 and currently teaches as an adjunct professor in Stetson’s accounting program. He is former president of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of Stetson’s Accounting Board of Advisers. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Orlando Museum of Art and also has given his time to many other organizations, including United Arts of Central Florida and the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools.
