McKeython Named to ASUN All-Academic Team
Stetson’s Raine McKeython has been named to the ASUN Conference All-Academic team for men’s basketball, the league office announced on Sunday.
A sophomore from Washington, D.C., McKeython sports a 3.69 grade-point average as a Discovery major.
The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom and exemplify the ASUN’s mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team’s games.
In 25 games this season, McKeython averaged 4.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. He scored in double figures three times, getting 11 points against Johnson, UCF and Lipscomb.
McKeython is the fourth Hatter to earn a spot on the men’s basketball all-academic team since the team’s inception in 2013. Overall, his selection marks the seventh total selection for a Stetson men’s basketball student-athlete.
