Competitive awards recognize design, writing excellence

Stetson University Marketing won five first-place awards and one second-place award at this year’s CASE Circle of Excellence Awards. This program recognizes outstanding work in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing as judged by peer professionals at schools, colleges and universities as well as by professionals from outside education.

“I am so proud of the talented group that makes up Stetson’s marketing and communications team. Their dedication goes above and beyond every day,” said Joel Jones, assistant vice president of Stetson University Marketing.

Stetson’s winning entries that won the top Grand Gold award are:

  • Dare to Be Significant Travel Brochure in the category of graphic design

CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) is one of the largest international associations of education institutions, serving more than 3,600 universities, colleges, schools and related organizations in more than 80 countries.

The Circle of Excellence was introduced in 1994, and has grown in prestige each year. It is now one of CASE’s most popular and respected awards programs.

“I am also extremely proud of the Creative Services team for putting in the countless hours it takes to move the university forward,” Jones said. “CASE District III is one of the most competitive districts and to have our marketing efforts recognized as the best of the best is truly an honor. The feeling is hard to put into words.”

This is not the first year Stetson has been recognized nationally by CASE. Over the past six years, Stetson University Marketing has brought home a total of 40 CASE awards for publication design and writing, as well as communications/public relations campaigns and programs.

“I am surrounded by passionate students with limitless potential, dedicated and acclaimed faculty who pour their hearts into our students, committed staff who consistently go above and beyond in countless ways, often without accolades and senior leadership who work tirelessly to ensure a significant future for Stetson,” Jones said. “I want our marketing to exemplify the students, faculty and staff of Stetson and I push myself and our creative team to be the best that it can be because it matters.”
