At approximately 9 p.m. last evening, March 24, a man called in a bomb threat to the police. Stetson’s Public Safety, the DeLand Police Department and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office evacuated Lynn Business Center, McMahan Rehearsal Hall, Presser and Elizabeth halls. Nothing was found and the “all clear” was given at approximately 12:30 a.m. Update emails were sent to the campus community regularly. All messages were posted on Facebook, with auto-posts to the @StetsonU Twitter account. Students were told to stay in their residence halls or off campus. It is business as usual on campus today, and classes are in session.
