#BlackHistoryMonth: Integration at StetsonU

In 1962, Stetson University became the first, private, non historically black college to integrate in Florida. This infographic from the duPont-Ball Library and Tri-C traces the university’s efforts to grow in inclusivity, documenting strides made from before the doors opened to blacks, to the 2009 establishment of the first multicultural education institute in Florida. The timeline ends there, but the university’s commitment to inclusiveness and social justice continues.
