Suwannee River

Sustainable Farming Fund

In late 2017, the Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience was named as administrator for the Sustainable Farming Fund. Established by a consent decree, the purpose of the $1.3 million fund was to promote sustainable agriculture on small private farms within the Suwannee River Basin.

Upon the program's completion in early 2021, the Sustainable Farming Fund (SFF) provided 28 grants to sustainable farming projects designed to improve surface and groundwater quality in the Suwannee River Basin

Please read about some of these inspiriting projects in a report produced by SFF Co-Director, Dr. Cathy Day:  SFF Story Map
