A4, Recruit the Best Students for Stetson:

Undergraduate:

  • Technology improvements yielded better processing, resulting in an increase of completed applications when comparing year-to-date data from 2016.

  • Transfer student recruitment is up in deposits when comparing year-to-date data from 2016.

  • The Stetson Honors Program has accepted 243 students with 50 available spots.

  • There has been an increase in daily campus visitors during the months of January and February.

Graduate:

  • Hosted our first live webinars through Slate for the MBA and MAcc programs with 24 registered students.

  • Updated School of Business Administration goals for the Summer and Fall 2017 terms to reflect three-year averages.

Financial Aid:

  • Completed all Standards of Excellence compliance findings in partnership with the Finance Office.

  • Moved to a paperless system for processing and tracking documents.

  • Sent returning/continuing student award letters earlier than ever before.

  • Increased communication with incoming students through phone calls and appointments with financial aid staff at open houses.

  • Established clear deadlines for current students for financial aid documents and processes, which will be implemented for the fall semester.

  • Utilizing EAB best-practice research, improved communication to students through established email templates to convey the same message to all students. Used student feedback to improve emails and increase engagement.

Continuing Education & Outreach:

  • Stetson.edu/summer-17 web portal completed.

  • Hatter L.E.A.D. Camp developed and launched and led by Army Lt. Col (retired) “Oak” McCulloch.

  • STEAM Society partnership developed, and three new camp programs developed and launched, including Robotics, Minecraft, Videography.

  • Computer Science Camp developed, launched, and filled with 25 students for Summer 17.
