D1, Diversify Revenue Streams and Maximize Cost Effectiveness:
Major gift officers and deans, as well as the president and vice president have had hundreds of face-to-face contacts since Jan. 3, 2017. At present, there are pending proposals being prepared. The campaign Roadmap to Success has been updated to continue demonstrating our confidence in meeting our campaign goals. At this point the campaign has raised $109 million toward the $150 million goal.
Green White & YOU (GW&YOU)
Assistant Director of Sustainable Giving Rebecca Thomas has just completed her first year at Stetson; her primary focus has been on developing the new Green White & YOU student philanthropy program. Recent activities for the group include assisting in the We Love Stetson faculty and staff campaign, TAG week, 100 Days to Graduation, 50 Days to graduation, and ongoing philanthropy training and awareness efforts among the student body.
Donor Relations has an entirely new staff, which includes the positions of Director and Coordinator. Director Stacey Junkins came to us in February from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; she is a Stetson alumna and former Development staff member. Coordinator Rose Tipitino comes to us with a master’s degree in production design; she was a print production manager at the global asset management firm of T. Rowe Price.
We are currently preparing for our next annual event, Celebrating Philanthropy, which will be held the second week in May to honor members of the 1883 Society and Stetson Society. This event brings together the University’s strongest supporters to spend time with other members of the Stetson community and be honored for their generosity. We intend to invite Green, White & You students to this event as well, so that they may share their philanthropic activities with the honored guests.
Considerable effort continues to maximize the features now available through Raiser’s Edge to enhance the operations of users, leverage data tools that identify donor prospects and ensure cultivation efforts are maximized. Gift notifications permit for enhanced stewardship of gifts received connecting faculty and staff who benefit from gifts with the donors who make them.
