Erin Scully

After Graduation: Choir Teacher, South Lake High School

Known for: Vice President and Section Leader for Concert Choir, President Stetson University Chapter of American Choral Directors Association, never missed a single choir rehearsal, did a study abroad trip around the "Life of Bach" in 2017.

Fun Fact: Tour Guide at the Kennedy Space Center

"I have been a vocal music education major so I've had to do private voice lessons and voice for four years as well as take instrument technique classes, which I found was really interesting... so, having to learn how to play the flute, saxophone, cello, violin, and trombone was a whole other experience..."

Luke Schneider

After Graduation: Started own business and has attracted investors

Known for: Vice President of the Club Golf Team, involved in the Roland George Investment Program, started his own business while a student.

Fun Fact: He received his first patent while still a student at Stetson University.

His Stetson Moment:

"My biggest learning experience here would probably be time management. I had a lot of activities, sports at one time, to running my business, to extra class work, the Roland George program. It's really been a good teaching experience for me…knowing how to thrive in that structure and take advantage of my time will be really valuable for me."

After Graduation: Accepted Position as Financial Analyst at Lockheed

Known for: Member of the School of Business Administration Ethics Case Competition Team, participated in the Milgard Competition at University of Washington, participated in Certified Financial Analyst competition for Roland George Investments Program.

Fun Fact: Was Vice President of the Stetson Club Golf Team

His Stetson Moment:

(Transferred from a large public university), "It's really what you like. For me, personally, it wasn't the big school atmosphere or being surrounded by thousands of people who are doing the same thing as me. For me, it was having the one-on-one attention from professors and having the small community feel that helped propel my career forward."

Amanda Rogers

After Graduation: Amanda and her military husband will be moving to a new posting location, and she is planning to work for a faith based community organization in research and training.

Known for: Presented at the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference, (FURC), awarded SURE grant funding for research project, presented her SURE grant project as part of her senior research.

Fun Fact: Going back to school after starting her family

Her Stetson Moment:

"I was so surprised with the opportunities here at Stetson, really surprised. My freshman year, I actually wrote a paper for my Social Foundations of Education class, and my professor was like, "Hey, we can publish this." I didn't even know that was a thing you can do in undergrad. He worked with me outside of class hours, and it (was) published in Principal Leadership.”

Vanessa Petion

After Graduation: Attending graduate program at American University

Known for: President of the Multicultural Student Council, Haitian-American and only one of her siblings born in the U.S.

Fun Fact: Loved bring a tutor at the writing center and loved working with and helping her fellow students.

Her Stetson Moment: “The one thing Stetson has really taught me is to try new things. I can be really stubborn. I really can, especially when I'm uncomfortable. But Stetson has really brought me out of that shell.”

Known for: Quarterback, Stetson Football, and double major in Sales and Sport Business in School of Business Administration.

Fun Fact: Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll

His Stetson Moment:

"I'm a double major. I'm on the football team. My days are a bit hectic. It's a lot of time management. You have to prioritize what is important to you. You fill out a block of time, schedule it out, and hit each important milestone. You also have to sketch out time for fun. You're a college student in a great college town."

Brooks Wilson

After Graduation: Playing for the Atlanta Braves (seventh round pick in 2018)

Known for: Going in the sixteenth round (2017) in the Major League Baseball Draft his junior year, and then returning to Stetson to finish his degree.

Fun Fact: Led the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) in strikeouts in 2017

His Stetson Moment:

"I'd say something special was that you get here, and it's such a tight-knit community. A lot of people like to go to the big schools because it's the more cool or fun thing to do, but you get here and you realize that all these people are here because they love this place. They want you to enjoy it just as much as they do."

Michael Rodriguez

After Graduation: Mechanical Engineer at Summit Aerospace

Known for: He is the youngest of the Three Brothers and they have been singing together since childhood. (see YouTube video of his Senior Recital)

Fun Fact: His Outside Field is Physics

His Stetson Moment:

"I had the Associate Dean of the School of Music working with the Associate Dean of the School of Sciences, working hand-in-hand, constant emails. There's never a lack of communication, and they made it work for me. That's the thing about Stetson; it's constantly a give and take between the students and the professors.”
