Theatre Arts

Steven Kalicharan, a theatre arts major with a creative writing minor, is a member of Theta Alpha Phi, the theatre honorary society. In the classroom, Steven set a standard for outstanding achievement, while he delivered engaging performances on the stage.

Whether the role demanded broad physical comedy, such as in the "Importance of Being Earnest" or a more subtle portrayal of issues regarding race and class privilege in the production of "Sweat," Steven "always commits to giving his best performance," noted one professor. Another faculty comment: "Steven truly represents the best aspects of a liberal arts theatre program. He is a thorough researcher, a gifted writer, a talented performer and a skilled technician."

Steven is seeking a career with a theatre company in stage management.
