Paxton Wilson arrived at Stetson to study physics through the university's Presidential Scholarship, as well as the Stetson HATS Scholarship. He completed his coursework and earned a Bachelor of Science in physics in three years, remaining on the Dean's List the entire time. His senior research project focused on measuring the critical temperatures of two superconductors using liquid nitrogen.
In addition, Paxton spent one semester at the University of Leicester, England, where he worked with a team designing a high- and low-pass filter to detect small Doppler shifts. Paxton has been selected for induction into the physics honor society Sigma Pi Sigma.
This August, he will attendAuburn University as a doctoral student in physics on a full-scholarship teaching assistantship from Auburn's School of Science and Mathematics.
