Meghan McLean is an exceptional molecular biology major with minors in both chemistry and health science. She developed a passion for molecular biology and the specific techniques for doing research by taking courses such as genetics, cell biology, spectra and structure and molecular biology.
When conducting her senior research on Inhibition of Hedgehog Signaling Pathway in Vanessa cardui Butterflies, Meghan was able to use her knowledge from an in-depth science background to examine phenotypic changes. While tackling her difficult curriculum, Meghan also has played on the Stetson Women's Golf team, helping the team in becoming top 100 in the country.
For the upcoming fall, Meghan has been accepted into Dalhousie's Pathology program where she will specialize in breast cancer research.
