Madison Hill

Mathematics and Computer Science (Applied Mathematics)

Madison will graduate as a double major in Applied Mathematics (with a concentration in statistics) and Psychology. She is the first member of her family to attend college out of state. Madison chose Stetson because of the academic programs, small class sizes and the ability to get to know her professors. She worked as both an academic advising assistant and a statistics/mathematics tutor. Madison was also a member of Psi Chi, a psychology honors club at Stetson that helps to raise awareness for mental health. She has identified presenting her senior research project to the mathematics department faculty as her biggest accomplishment. She comments, "My advisors in both psychology and math introduced me to a new and hard senior project topic...I want to thank my advisors for allowing me to have the opportunity to present my research and for believing in me." When reflecting on her time at Stetson, Madison concluded by saying, "I enjoyed college because I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and took advantage of the opportunities that it has to offer...I am so happy that I chose Stetson University because it allowed me to find my passion and meet the most incredible people."
