Mackenzie Nalven completed two majors -— psychology and management — and a minor in music as a violin player. Mackenzie served as a writing tutor and was a member of the Business Ethics team. She won an honorable mention at Showcase 2019, and the senior research project she designed as an extension of that work was accepted for presentation at the Southeastern Psychology Association (SEPA) meeting. Although the meeting was cancelled, Mackenzie’s senior research professor noted that hers was "the best written project in our class."
As a research apprentice in the Clinical Neuropsychology Lab, she earned the honor of being a co-author of a project that was to be presented at the cancelled SEPA meeting, and of a manuscript currently under review at the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology. For these accomplishments, Mackenzie was awarded the Outstanding Researcher in Psychology Award 2019-2020.
Mackenzie will attend Vanderbilt University’s Master of Education in Leadership and Organizational Performance.
