Lacie Lynch joined Stetson as a recipient of the Dare to Achieve Transfer Scholarship in 2019, majoring in applied mathematics. She was president of the Stetson QED Mathematics Club, during which time she participated in the 2019 SCUDEM Mathematics Modelling Challenge. She was awarded the department's 2019-2020 Emmett & Fannie Ashcraft Award for "outstanding junior" in mathematics.
Lacie hopes to publish her research related to the Extreme Value Theory in the area of Black Swan Classifications triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Upon graduation, Lacie will pursue a doctorate in financial mathematics at the University of Central Florida.
