Gabby is graduating from Stetson with two majors, Molecular & Cellular Biology and Public Health, a minor in Mathematics, and she is part of the Honors Program. She became interested in Public Health because of the discipline's practical approach to science and health analytics. Gabby has shown a natural talent for problem solving and analytical skills. She has shown exceptional talents in mathematical and deductive reasoning. Her professors describe her as an extremely talented, mature and driven student, and they admire her scientific curiosity and academic scholarship. Gabby’s research compared the effects of glyphosate, an herbicide, on intestinal cells through measuring certain protein expressions. Her research, academic interests and aspirations reflect her dedication to using science to make a positive impact on people's lives. Gabby's future plans include continuing to work at the Daytona Beach emergency room as a medical scribe and applying to medical schools for Fall 2024. Her goal is to become a clinical pathologist, which is an important role in diagnosing and treating diseases through laboratory analysis.
