D. Zevi Altus

Mathematics

As a mathematics major, Zevi spent much of his outside time working in the duPont-Ball Library as a student team leader and as treasurer of the Stetson QED Mathematics Club, where he participated in the 2019 SCUDEM Mathematics Modelling Challenge. He also was an active member of Stetson’s Chess Club and worked as a youth adviser at the Congregation of Reform Judaism in Orlando.

Zevi received a Stetson Undergraduate Research Experience grant for a mathematical modeling project, titled Estimating Kurdish Population in Turkey, which he continued through his senior research.

Upon graduation, Zevi will pursue a master's degree in quantitative methods in social sciences at Columbia University.
