Colette Lacouture interned in a kindergarten classroom, where her passion for teaching and learning was evident. Colette’s professors describe her as a thoughtful, calm, caring and dedicated teacher who gives freely to others. Her senior research examined how movement can be used to teach sight words in the primary grades.
Colette is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education and a student in the Stetson Bonner program. She plans to teach in Gainesville, Florida, after graduation. She loves teaching young people and hopes to continue her education career in the primary grades.
