Chase writes beautifully, she pulls together disparate ideas and makes them her own, and she reads sensitively. She's quick with a quip when it's needed, and she occasionally identifies previously undiscovered moments when quips are needed. She is the News Section Editor of the Reporter, on the staff of Touchstone Literary Arts Magazine, a member of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, and a tutor and front desk project manager at the Writing Center. After graduation, she will step into her role as a full-time news writer at The West Volusia Beacon.
