Carol's senior project, The Mountain, represents a true labor of love. Carol's dedication to her craft and singularity of vision is something to which all art students should aspire. The Mountain is a short film produced in an animatic style that combines Carol's interest in both digital and physical art forms. The skillful character design and frame composition allows a rich narrative to be formed through static images that trace a scene in her original characters' lives. After digitally mapping out her animation, Carol printed these skeletons and traced and colored by hand dozens of images.

These physical drawings are exhibited at the Hand Art Center, along with the digitized animation, giving viewers an insight into her process. The sheer amount of time, planning and organization that went into this project is worthy of admiration on its own, but the emotional impact of the film is a notable achievement as well.
