Bethany Moore

Religious Studies

Bethany Moore graduated magna cum laude in December 2020 with a major in religious studies and a minor in history. She was an excellent student in the classroom — inquisitive, eager to learn, and filled with wit and good humor. She completed an insightful senior research project on the writings of C.S. Lewis, titled "Finding C.S. Lewis in The Chronicles of Narnia."

Beyond the classroom, Bethany was actively involved in campus and community activities as part of Stetson's Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter, working on the Stetson Grounds Division Recycling Team, serving as a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club in DeLand and at a local church, and working as a summer camp counselor at a YMCA in Orlando. And she was a member of Theta Alpha Kappa, the religious studies honor society.

All the while, Bethany was characteristically engaged, intelligent, affable, attentive and adaptable.

In the future, Bethany hopes to find a job with a nonprofit, doing administrative work. This summer, she will begin a seasonal position as a site supervisor for Second Harvest, helping to distribute daily meals to children.
