Alexis completed a BS in psychology with an art minor in only three years, during which she made the Dean’s List every semester. According to her professors, Alexis works hard, is very strong in the classroom, asked good questions and loved to stay involved. Obviously, Alexis did very well in her classes but importantly, she helped many others do well, too, with one professor describing her as "an excellent teaching assistant."
Her "ambitious" senior research project examined the relationship between women's sexually objectifying pornography use and self-objectification. An abstract of the project was submitted for consideration for presentation at the annual meeting of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies in November in Philadelphia.
Next year, Alexis will work to gain more clinical research experience, but her goal is a PhD program in clinical psychology.
