David Ireland

I am passionate about information literacy; language; the ideas of Marshall McLuhan, Walter Ong, Maryanne Wolf, and Elizabeth Eisenstein; and how the medium relates to how we take in and use information. I love reading: 1984, Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451 are some of my favorite books. Treasure Island is the first book I remember loving. I also enjoy the works of Robert Benchley, James Thurber, and S.J. Perelman. I love Art History, British comedy, and baseball (Go Orioles!). I am passionate about music and hope to learn to play the Irish Bouzouki.
