Meet the Environmental Fellows

Brandon Evans

Brandon Evans

Major: Biology

Minors: Sustainable Food Systems and Environmental Studies

Class of 2023

Brandon has grown up near nature, living very close to the Ocala National Forest. He has been interested in nature his whole life and is attending Stetson to study the ways that humans and nature interact. He believes that the key to a sustainable future is by bringing nature back into everyday life.

As an Environmental Fellow, he hopes to incorporate native and edible plants into the landscaping around campus and later into the landscaping of the surrounding communities. While Brandon’s future plans are still being focused, he would like to live a life close to nature and agriculture. He is willing to put in the effort needed to live sustainably and works to help other people do the same.

Audrey Berlie

Audrey Berlie

Major: Environmental Business and Environmental Studies

Minor: Sustainable Food Systems and Finance

Class of 2024

Growing up in Naples, Audrey developed a passion for mangrove and wetland conservation. Audrey has followed these interests at Stetson University, where she helped to create the first student chapter of Friends of the Everglades. Audrey is also a research assistant with IWER at the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center where she promotes native biodiversity.

Within the Environmental Fellows, Audrey is currently working to help account for the return on investments generated by Revolving Green Fund projects. Because of this experience, Audrey has become committed to studying the long-term value of sustainability in business. Her ultimate professional goal is to internally transform companies into accountable stewards of the environment. Audrey hopes to be at the forefront of developing new business structures and workplace cultures that encourage humanity to live well on our planet.

Jacob Robinson

Jacob Robinson

Major: Environmental Studies

Class of 2024

Jacob joined Stetson University and the Environmental Fellows in 2020. Coming from Bel Air, Maryland, Jacob has a background working with invasive plants and volunteering at a local environmental center. He is interested in learning about environmental policy as he believes that we cannot take proper action without the support of the law to do so.

He hopes to combine the capabilities of several different groups at Stetson that he works with, including the Environmental Fellows, Bonner program and Honors program, to form a more sustainable campus and way of life. In the future, he plans to gain more knowledge both in environmental science and policy fields to instill a greener mindset in the governments of the United States.
