Graduate Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need tickets to attend?

No tickets are required. Please note that seating is on a first come, first served basis in Edmunds Center. Doors open at 3:45 p.m.

Will the ceremony be shown online?

Live streaming of the ceremony will be available through Stetson Broadcast Productions.

Where do I pick up my cap, gown and hood?

Regalia orders can be mailed to you or can be picked up at the Stetson Bookstore at the DeLand campus beginning mid-April during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., or Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Any regalia not picked up prior to the ceremony will be brought to the Hollis Center for graduate check-in.

Where do I pick up my diploma?

Diplomas will be mailed to all graduated students two to three weeks after the graduation date. Graduated students will receive confirmation once it is mailed.

What items are not allowed in Edmunds Center?

In general, it’s best to save most items for your post-Commencement festivities. Small and average-sized handbags, purses and camera bags will be allowed. The following items are not permitted:

  • Open containers (ie. coffee, plastic cups)
  • Alcohol
  • Balloons
  • Beach Balls
  • Weapons
  • Noise makers (blow horns, whistles, etc.)
  • Pets and Emotional Support Animals (Please review our pet policy for additional information)

Where will the graduates be seated?

Graduates will be seated in the floor seating behind the faculty facing the stage. At the calling of names, students will rise by row, approach the stage ramp and continue across. Sensible shoes are recommended.

Where do I meet my graduate after the ceremony?

Graduates will be directed to the reception located inside the Rinker Fieldhouse immediately following the ceremony.

Will I be able to take photos on the stage after the ceremony?

No. Access to the stage following the Commencement ceremony will be prohibited.
