AAUW’s Black History Month meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 11:30 a.m.
Kimble Medley will discuss Mary Ann Shadd Cary and The New Departure. Shadd Cary was a Black Suffragist during the first generation of Black Suffragists and her work, particularly with the strategy known as The New Departure, inspired women like Mary McLeod Bethune.
